A full three years later Domaine Arnoux lachaux was born out of contemplation and experimentation on clay soils with limestone marl in the middle of nowhere. Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is not a huge company, even though we were built over two centuries in a very small hamlet of southern Burgundy. Our family never believed in huge production, but in quality for good value. We like to think we’ve been the “friendly neighborhood winemaker”, and from our main house, our home base, and vineyard, it’s only 16 kilometers to Beaune where merchants have come to source wines for over six centuries!
